Artworks by
Bronwyn Davies,
Joolie Gibbs,
Shelley Pisani
A collaborative exhibition by three Queensland artists exploring the stories that connect people, place, and the trees around us.

ABOUT
Bronwyn Davies
Explores entwined stories of trees and people through layered drawings and paintings using natural inks, charcoal, and vintage maps. Her works depict iconic trees such as the Curtain Fig of the Atherton Tablelands and Moonah woodlands of Phillip Island, interlacing human emotion, environmental loss, and renewal.
Shelley Pisani
Examines her Bundaberg family’s history through the material and symbolic presence of trees. Using timber, recycled chopping boards, and earthenware, she explores memory, resilience, and “the paradox of progress” — our dependence on and depletion of the forest.
Joolie Gibbs
Creates a forest-like installation of handmade paper scrolls representing five iconic trees of the Cooloola region. Using botanical inks and plant fibres, she evokes the strength and fragility of native forests altered by settlement, industry, and time.
